  • Surreal Numbers in Digital Analytics

Juzef the Koala is trying to understand whether infinity can be tracked in GA4 (spoiler: probably not, but he still tries)

For the last few weeks, I’ve been stuck on a strange idea. You know that feeling when your brain suddenly decides that normal mathematics is not enough for your dashboards? That maybe, just maybe, the world of digital analytics would be a better place if we stopped pretending that everything fits neatly into integers, floats, and percentages?

So I did what any reasonable analyst would do: I opened a book on surreal numbers.

  • About Journey to Kaggle Expert

Juzef the Koala is trying to determine in which area he is an expert

Yesterday, I completed one more minor achievement on my own – I was able to receive enough upvotes on my works to receive a status of Kaggle Notebooks Expert. I’ve set it as a personal goal for myself for the end of this year, but thought that it is too optimistic (I will explain later why), and just continued ‘dancing as nobody sees it’.

  • MeasureCamp Zurizh 2025: MeasureCamp Trends

A second talk I had in Zurich was related to my brave attempt to parse data about last MeasureCamps – fortunately for me, it was not so hard due to usage Replit as a digital session board solution by organizers of last events.

Attaching here links to notebooks with analysis:

    – Descriptive overview/EDA of topics, levels, focus areas, locations, and presenters count of the latest MeasureCamps: https://lnkd.in/dECwApyA
    – Cluster analysis of MeasureCamp sessions descriptions & titles with the usage of BERtopic framework: https://lnkd.in/dXjny7yW
    – A dataset – I deployed it on Kaggle too: https://lnkd.in/dh5zeda5

  • MeasureCamp Zurich 2025: ML-driven User Segmentation

One month ago I had a chance to visit Zurich to present there two topic. One of that is related to application of PCA + k-means for user personas definition – attaching here a deck.

  • Video Game History Explorations – part 2

Juzef the Koala with friends is trying to study how to produce eucalyptus

I decided to continue my journey with Kaggle and different datasets there, and to combine it with learning something new. While I used to check there some neutral datasets, and disappointed myself again with the inability to compose correct ML techniques on competitions, I still like to check what I can do with video games datasets, or try to extract some gaming-related stuff in common data sources.

  • Video Game History Explorations

Juzef the Koala, as he was captured in his childhood. He plays a game titled “Super Eucalyptus Bros.”

For last few weeks I’m obsessed with Kaggle: https://www.kaggle.com/ – a platform for data scientists, ML/AI engineers and data analysts. For significant share of people it is one of entry points in a machine learning world – just because of infinite variety of competitions, datasets, examples of notebooks and relatively strong community.

  • MeasureCamp Berlin 2025: PCA-driven user engagement measurement

I’m sharing here a deck from the latest MeasureCamp in Berlin, where I prepared a talk about principal component analysis and digital analytics – I cannot name it as a common thing, but maybe it can be valuable for someone.

  • More Certifications! Databricks Data Analyst, GCP Gen AI Leader

Juzef the Koala still doesn’t know that he will not be able to exchange newly acquired certificate to bag of eucalyptus

The beginning of August was relatively productive for me – I decided that PL-300 and GCP ADP certification would be not enough for this summer, and decided to receive a bit more formal badges as a proof, that I know something. I’m still not sure that the fact of receiving of certificate after proctored exam means anything – but anyway, no one can stop me in this journey!

This time, I focused on two paths – Databricks Data Analyst and GCP Gen AI Leader. Both certifications are not so challenging, but at the same time cover relatively interesting topics, so let me briefly tell about me experience.

  • DeskHog?!

Juzef The Koala meets Max The Hedgehog

Sometimes, the wide range of available product analytics tools can overwhelm unprepared users. There are hundreds of products offering similar functionality, often with nearly identical interfaces, purposes, and even approaches to data collection and table structures.

One particularly interesting alternative is PostHog. It’s an all-in-one platform that includes its own web analytics suite, session recordings, heatmaps, and a built-in data warehouse. They also have a lot of features currently in development — including no-code A/B testing, messaging, CRM, revenue analysis, and much more. To be honest, it sometimes feels like the team is aiming to cover too wide a range without diving deeply into the specifics of each feature. However, one of the most compelling aspects of PostHog is its ability to be fully self-hosted — even though the platform itself doesn’t actively recommend it.

  • I’ve passed Power BI PL-300 certification

Juzef the Koala and his band are trying to pass PL-300 together with Toucan Bros!

Before 2025, I mostly ignored any opportunities for tech skills certifications. Sometimes it just requires too much efforts on preparation, and at the same time, the value of it is rather controversial. Google Analytics certification definitely can be named as one of the most common meme across digital analytics community – the existence of it can say anything about the person, but not about his or her competencies.
